Finger Jets is the first game I’ve created, therefore it feels really limited since it’s pretty much a one man team.
After making the first three levels though, I found a ton of interest in the game, so I decided to extend it.
The next three levels are the 3 stages of the challenge mode.
Game Features:
– Hard to master, easy to understand concept of Finger Jets.
– Fun and Unique Gameplay.
– Completely Original.
– Obstacle’s are easy to get through.
– Fully beatable in casual mode.
– Remake of my first game Lunar Landers Game. 🙂
– Leaderboards for the Game, so far ~1000 ranking records.
– Moon with Falling Objects.
– Different Animals/Animals with different characteristics.
– Computer generated terrain/landing pads.
– Individual sounds for each Spacecraft.
– Respawn time etc.
– Gamepad input support.
– Keyboard Support.
– Mouse Support.
– Touch support.
– Optimized for iPhone (4/4s), iPad (3rd/4th Gen) and iPad Mini (1st Gen).
– In-game Gamepad controls (Jumble; use your own to select the next level)

It took me a day to make the game.
You can play it in Normal or Hard Mode. In normal mode, everything is normal (easy). In hard mode, you start with a -20% score. Your ship has a bomb you can use to destroy the enemies, if you don’t have the money to buy a bomb, you start with a bunch of bombs. Your ship is also faster. All other features are the same in both modes.
I made it with the following technology:
– Cocos2d-x: Green papaya to make the physics
– Box2D: It’s the best engine out there for collision detection.
– NSTimer: It’s how you update your game-loop.
– Level Designing: I made three Levels.
